OSC Statement on Naitonal Police Week 2025

This week the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) recognizes National Police Week 2025 in honor and remembrance of the local, state, and federal officers who have died, or have been disabled, in the line of duty

National Police Week was first established in 1962 and has been recognized annually since

“OSC recognizes and salutes all police, especially our partners at the federal level, who are responsible for enforcing federal laws and maintaining public safety across the country,” said Senior Counsel Charles Baldis. “We commend all public safety officers who risk their lives every day fighting on the front lines to keep Americans safe.

OSC protects federal law enforcement officers against prohibited personnel practices. It also provides a secure channel for federal employees, including federal law enforcement officers, to report wrongdoing, including substantial and specific dangers to public health or safety.
