Navigating Whistleblower Complaints: Effective Response Strategies. (60 minutes). Unlock essential skills with our annual supervisory training! As mandated by the Dr. Chris Kirkpatrick Whistleblower Protection Act, this training equips you with vital tools to handle disclosures of potential government wrongdoing and allegations of retaliation. Dive into practical tips, real-world scenarios, and interactive exercises designed to enhance your management capabilities and navigate these challenging situations effectively. Make this training your go-to resource for mastering whistleblower protection and response.

Safeguarding the Merit System: A Guide to Preventing Prohibited Personnel Practices. (90 minutes). Master the 14 PPPs with OSC's comprehensive training! Explore critical areas like unlawful hiring practices and whistleblower retaliation through insightful discussions led by a top attorney. Gain a deeper understanding with real-life case studies and nuanced legal explanations. Whether you're a manager, non-manager, HR specialist, or agency counsel, this training is designed to meet your needs. This training satisfies one of the requirements of OSC's 2302(c) Certification Program but can also be provided outside of the certification process.

Hatch Act Training. (60 minutes). Join OSC for an informative session where an expert attorney will break down the Hatch Act's restrictions on partisan political activities for government employees. Discover what political activities are allowed, explore recent OSC case examples, and gain a clear understanding of OSC's roles, including investigating potential violations and issuing advisory opinions. Don't miss this opportunity to get up to speed on crucial compliance issues!

The PPPs and Politics: Navigating the Federal Workplace in a Politically Charged World. (60 minutes). Are you seeking guidance on how to navigate the federal workplace amid today's politically charged climate? This training will explore prohibited personnel practices related to discrimination arising from local, national, and global events. Participants will gain insight into the legal prohibitions against political affiliation discrimination, coercion of political activity and retaliation for refusing to engage in such activities, and issue-based conduct discrimination that does not impact employee performance. Through clear definitions, hypothetical scenarios, and examples from prior OSC investigations, this session aims to deepen your understanding of these important legal protections in the federal workplace.

Understanding USERRA: Protecting the Employment Rights of Service Members. (60 minutes). Join us for a comprehensive training on the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), designed to equip federal supervisors and employees with essential knowledge about the rights and responsibilities related to military service. This session will cover the key provisions of USERRA, including the protection of job rights for returning service members, the prevention of discrimination based on military status, and the obligations of employers to provide reinstatement and benefits. By the end of this training, attendees will have a clearer understanding of how to navigate the complexities of USERRA.
